BENT PROP FLAG AWARD GUIDELINES
1.
Only NCPCA members will be eligible to receive this award and if awarded
to a contestant that contestant must fly the flag on his/her vessel from the
time received until the next recipient is chosen (except for the last contest,
see 6. below). The flag shall be flown immediately below the NCPCA burgee or
adjacent thereto: in any case in a conspicuous position with respect to other
boaters.

Non-contestant winners will be expected to display the flag in a creative
manner.
3. Winner will be selected by popular acclaim as determined by the Rear Commodore at the post contest awards dinner.
4. Active period for receiving this award will be from 0800 hrs to 2000 hrs on the day of the contest.

A Bent Prop Log
shall be established which will contain the rational for the award. The log
entry (one page or less) will be written by the previous recipient and read
aloud at the following awards dinner at the start the bent prop award
presentation. The Rear Commodore shall keep the Log.
6. The Rear Commodore shall be the administrator of the Bent Prop Flag (BPF) Award. As such he/she shall: a) assure the availability of the award for each contest, b) seek out potential awardees at the conclusion of each contest, c) present the BPF Award and Log at each awards dinner, and d) retain the BPF and Log after the award and festivities of the last contest have been concluded.
